The sector of classified work is a separate structural unit of the state administration.
The sector is formed by the head of the regional state administration in order to organize and ensure the regime of secrecy in the regional state administration and to control the implementation of these measures in subordinate regime-secret bodies.
The sector reports directly to the head of the regional state administration and the head of the regional military-civilian administration.
In its activities, the sector is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine, acts of the President of Ukraine, resolutions and orders of the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, regulations, orders, orders of central executive bodies, the Regulations of the Regional State Administration, the Procedure for Organizing and Ensuring the Secrecy Regime in State Bodies, Local Self-Government Bodies, Enterprises, Institutions and Organizations, the Regulation on the Staff of the Regional State Administration, and the Regulation on the Sector of Classified Work.
The sector operates on the basis of long-term and current work plans.
The reorganization or liquidation of the classified body of the regional state administration is agreed with the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk region. In its activities, the sector interacts with the SSU, higher-level classified bodies and subordinate subjects of classified activities.

preventing unjustified access and access of persons to classified information;
timely development and implementation, together with other structural units of the state administration, of measures ensuring the protection of state secrets;
prevention of disclosure of classified information, loss of its material carriers, acquisition of classified information by foreign legal entities and individuals, stateless persons and citizens of Ukraine who are not granted access and access to it;

organization of mobilization training and mobilization activities in the top-secret body of the regional state administration;
control over the implementation of mobilization training and mobilization activities in subordinate top-secret bodies;
mobilization record keeping in the apparatus of the regional state administration.
