Donetsk oblast continues to participate in the implementation of the presidential initiative “Active parks – locations of healthy Ukraine”. Throughout September, coordinators from the region held 133 events in different parts of our country, involving 1,701 participants.
“Active Parks” remain a space for accessible physical activity, where everyone can choose their own format and pace of exercises. Over the past month, various activities were held, taking into account the age and physical fitness level of the participants: morning exercises, functional training, fitness exercises, outdoor yoga, relays and games for children and young people, and programs for seniors.
In September, two more coordinators from Donetsk oblast were recruited to work on the project, which was made possible thanks to the personnel reserve that had been formed in advance. Expanding the team allows for an increase in the number of locations and participants of trainings.
Methodological and organizational monitoring of the coordinators' activities is carried out by the Donetsk regional center for physical health of population “Sport for all”: weekly reports are analyzed, social media pages for the locations are maintained, and recommendations are provided regarding the content and safety of trainings.
The social project “Active parks – locations of healthy Ukraine” makes a significant contribution to the formation of a culture of physical activity, strengthening the health of the population, and social cohesion of communities in today's difficult conditions.
