We invite you to participate in a webinar on environmental requirements in public procurement for construction.
Why is this important?
Green public procurement is becoming a key tool for achieving sustainable development and environmental responsibility in construction. We will focus on how environmental requirements help reduce negative environmental impacts and improve procurement efficiency, particularly in the process of rebuilding Ukraine now and after the war.
Focus on:
- Technical specifications for construction products;
- Design briefs for construction based on the “better than before” principle;
- Construction works.
During the webinar, we will address practical questions:
- What requirements to apply according to the law and how to do so correctly.
- Common mistakes when formulating requirements in technical specifications and design briefs.
- What are the benefits of applying environmental requirements to construction products and construction projects?
- Which regulatory documents govern the requirements for the environmental characteristics of construction products and construction projects (major repairs, reconstruction, new construction)?
- How should environmental requirements be properly formulated in tender documentation?
- How should environmental claims, declarations, and eco-labels be applied to construction products without violating competition law?
- How can one commission an energy-efficient green construction project using public funds?
The webinar will be useful for:
- Purchasers of construction materials and construction clients;
- Suppliers of construction products;
- Designers and other construction participants;
- Experts and consultants in the construction sector;
- Anyone who wants to improve their knowledge of environmental requirements in the construction materials market.
The event is organized by the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Living Planet” with the support and participation of the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, the State Enterprise “Prozorro,” and the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Ecological Restoration and Development of Ukraine.”
The webinar program is based on real-world case studies and inquiries from clients and suppliers, so participants will receive a wealth of practical recommendations and examples from actual procurement practices in the construction industry.
