As part of the implementation of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program “How Are You?” and the “Side by Side: United Communities” project, a joint event was held aimed at strengthening the psychological resilience of young people and developing interregional partnerships.
The online webinar brought together representatives of the Bakhmut and Hoshcha communities, creating a platform for constructive dialogue and learning.
The Bakhmut Center for Vocational and Technical Education, which has been relocated and is currently operating in the village of Hoshcha, served as the key venue for the event. The webinar format allowed for the participation of a wide range of attendees, including: the teaching staff and students of the Bakhmut Vocational and Technical Education Center, who are currently at the institution’s new location in Hoshcha; students from the Bakhmut community who are currently residing in various regions of Ukraine; and representatives of the youth leadership of the Hoshcha community.
The guest expert was Yulia Makogon, a psychologist at the Bakhmut Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Hospital. She emphasized the importance of understanding one’s own values and priorities.
The “Side by Side: From the Community” project demonstrates high effectiveness in promoting social cohesion.
The joint participation of students from Bakhmut and residents of the Hoshcha community in such events helps them better understand one another, overcome barriers to adaptation, and build strong bonds.
The event was organized by the Health Department of the Bakhmut City Council and the Department of Youth Policy and Children’s Affairs of the Bakhmut City Council.
