The distance between cities is measured in kilometers. But the closeness between communities is defined by a willingness to support one another, help maintain ties with fellow residents, and find new opportunities to plan for the future with greater confidence.
It is precisely on these principles that the cooperation between the Bakhmut community and its partner communities is built, within the framework of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities” and under the signed memoranda of cooperation.
Recently, a shared cause once again brought together those for whom supporting the people of Bakhmut has become part of their daily work. Representatives from the Bakhmut, Gostomel, Bila Tserkva, and Poltava communities, the city of Volodymyr, and charitable organizations met to discuss issues of particular importance to our fellow citizens, who have been scattered across Ukraine by the war.
They discussed lessons learned, people’s needs, prospects for new joint initiatives, and future collaboration. Behind every partnership decision lies a very specific goal: to ensure that aid reaches those affected by the war in a timely manner.
The communities are united by shared values, respect for history, and the memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine’s freedom. The meeting participants laid flowers together at the “Tree of Freedom” memorial, honoring the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and the Revolution of Dignity.
The Bakhmut community thanks its partners for their coordinated cooperation. For turning the “side-by-side” principle of partnership into concrete actions.
