As part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," an online meeting was held between the Bakhmut community outpost and the Gostomel partner community.
The dialogue was a joint action of the new partnership, designed to support each other today and lay the foundation for recovery and development in the future.
The meeting brought together the leadership and representatives of both communities. During the meeting, the administrations of various sectors of the Bakhmut community presented their work in the context of relocation: maintaining administrative and social functions, supporting residents who now live in different regions of the country, and ensuring the continuity of educational, cultural, social, and administrative services.
The Gostomel community team shared their own experience — from the destruction caused by Russian aggression in 2022 to the stages of recovery. The processes that Gostomel has already gone through are now an important support for outpost communities: infrastructure restoration, work with residents, support for social institutions — things that the community is ready to share and can strengthen in partnership.
The participants agreed on priority areas of cooperation that will form the basis for interaction in 2025–2026.
