As part of the national project "Shoulder to Shoulder: United Communities," a meaningful online meeting took place with representatives of the library sector from the Kostiantynivka and Uzhhorod communities.
The central theme of the discussion was the figure of the outstanding Ukrainian folklorist, literary scholar, and public figure Ivan Vasylovych Khlanta, who worked as a teacher of the Ukrainian language and literature in Kostiantynivka from 1962 to 1964.
Specialists from the Uzhhorod City Library shared extremely valuable information about their long-term collaboration with Ivan Vasylovych, whose scientific activities cover over 300 villages in Transcarpathia, where he collected folk songs, tales, legends, and historical names – the spiritual heritage of the Ukrainian people. The meeting demonstrated the potential for cultural interaction between communities within the framework of interregional cooperation.
