This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration.
Currently, this is a significant form of support for residents of the region during the winter period.
“To help our people get through this difficult winter, we have united the efforts of the regional authorities, local administrations, and, of course, our partners,” noted Vadym Filashkin.
Thanks to UNICEF, about 10,000 households in nine communities of the region have received financial assistance.
The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Ukraine has supported 1,000 families in the region with cash assistance and continues to provide aid.
The Czech humanitarian organization “People in Need”, with funding from international donors, provided residents of the Andriivka and Novodonetske communities with financial aid, and residents of the Oleksandrivka community — with in-kind assistance.
The International Committee of the Red Cross and the Ukrainian Red Cross are also contributing, helping people through the cold season by providing financial assistance for the purchase of solid fuel.
The “Angels of Salvation” Charitable Foundation has begun supporting over 4,000 households in the Kramatorsk district.
In total, 15 organizations have already joined forces to help residents of Donetsk region so that as many people as possible can receive this essential support.
