Another group of our fellow countrymen, displaced persons from Donetsk region, had a unique opportunity to forget about their everyday worries for a day and enjoy the grandeur of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

As part of the state project "Side by Side: United Communities," a group of 15 of our fellow citizens from the Pokrovsk district, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, and Kostyantynivka communities, led by Viktor Hrytsak, head of the Pokrovsk MBA's "Yednannia" humanitarian hub, took an eventful tour of the most picturesque corners of Zakarpattia.

The Donetsk residents visited the village of Vuchkove in Verkhovyna, where they learned about the history of Carpathian beekeeping and were able to purchase honey products; enjoyed the magnificent views and powerful energy of the Shipit Waterfall, located on the slopes of the Polonyna Borzhava mountain range, at the foot of Mount Gemba, and took a chairlift to one of the highest peaks of Polonyna Borzhava – Mount Gemba, from where they could see the unique beauty of the Carpathian panoramas.

The excursion gave the Donetsk residents the pleasure of breathtaking views and a feeling of peace, tranquility, and vitality.

The Pokrovsk City Military Administration thanks everyone who contributed to this good cause and gave our fellow citizens this magical journey and a sense of unity.
