The cities of Chasiv Yar and Uman are partners in the “Side by Side: United Communities” project, which is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.
The Uman City Council operates a Veterans’ Home in the city of Uman. Currently, there are 252 people staying at the facility, including 22 residents of the Chasiv Yar community. Most of them are people who were forced to leave their homes due to the war and have endured difficult and painful losses. Residents from various parts of Ukraine where hostilities are ongoing have found refuge here.
Unity for the sake of people is not just words, but real acts of support and humanity. The Chasovoyarsk City Military Administration, together with the Mkrtchan Brothers Charitable Foundation, delivered a pallet of dairy products to the residents of the Uman Veterans’ Home.
In these difficult times, it is especially important to give people warmth, attention, and the feeling that they are not alone with their pain. For many residents of the facility, the war has been a terrible ordeal that destroyed their homes and their normal lives, forcing them to start all over again.
Together, we are strong. Together, we are unbreakable.
