A delegation from the Lyman community paid a working visit to partner communities—the cities of Kremenchuk and Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi—where substantive meetings were held on further cooperation within the framework of the Side by Side: United Communities initiative.
During the visit, specific next steps for the implementation of joint initiatives were discussed, in particular:
✅ creation of a support center for citizens of the Lyman community;
✅ development of a palliative care unit project and provision of relevant services;
✅ possibilities for providing housing for internally displaced persons and support for people who were forced to evacuate.
Special attention was paid to the topics of social protection, support for internally displaced persons, development of social services, and coordination of actions in the difficult conditions of wartime. They also discussed opportunities for mutual assistance in supporting educational, cultural, and humanitarian initiatives.
The format "Side by Side: United Communities" is about real solidarity, mutual support, and shared responsibility. It is thanks to such meetings that communities find practical solutions to today's challenges and strengthen their partnership through action.
