The Donetsk Employment Service continues to support employers in creating accessible and comfortable working conditions for people with disabilities. One of the key tools in this area is the state compensation program, which was launched at the end of 2023.
Its main goal is to help businesses make the workplace inclusive and provide people with disabilities with more opportunities for professional self-realization.
This year, the maximum compensation for equipping a workplace for a person with a disability is set at:
Group I – UAH 120,000 (15 minimum wages);
Group II – UAH 80,000 (10 minimum wages).
Categories of assistive tools eligible for compensation include: furniture and fittings, lighting, mobility and movement, tools and materials, office equipment, computers and software, safety and health protection, visual aids, hearing aids, communication and connectivity, information recording and playback, and more.
