The Government of Ukraine has adopted a decision aimed at strengthening the link between vocational training and the actual needs of employers, particularly in the defense industry and other priority sectors of the economy.
Under the project, the state will provide support in two forms:
• Grants for prospective employees;
• Compensation for employers investing in workforce training.
The duration of training and professional development programs is up to six months.
Upon completion of training, participants must be employed within 30 calendar days.
The amount of grants and compensation depends on the qualification level and the implementation period of the program:
• For a partial qualification — UAH 15,000 in 2026 (UAH 20,000 starting from 2027);
• For a full qualification — UAH 30,000 in 2026 (UAH 35,000 starting from 2027).
The following enterprises are eligible to participate in the project:
• Defense industry enterprises;
• Mining and manufacturing industries;
• Construction sector;
• Transport sector;
• Energy sector;
• Heat and water supply utilities.
