State Support for the Employment of Combat Veterans

Published 14 January 2026 year, 15:02

The State Employment Service is implementing a financial incentive mechanism for employers who hire combat veterans from among registered unemployed individuals. If a veteran has been registered with an employment center for more than one month, the employer may receive compensation amounting to 50% of actual labor costs, but not more than UAH 8,647 per month. Payments are made for every odd month from the date of employment, and the total duration of compensation may reach up to 6 months within a year.

This approach allows employers to reduce their financial burden, support the adaptation of a new employee, and create a stable job position. At the same time, for veterans this is a real opportunity to return to professional activity, feel needed, and receive tangible state support.

If an employer is ready to hire a combat veteran who does not yet have the required qualifications, the employment service arranges training, retraining, or advanced professional development for the future employee. This makes it possible to align business needs with the capabilities and potential of veterans, ensuring effective and long-term cooperation.

Today, supporting veterans is not only a social responsibility but also an investment in a strong, motivated, and responsible workforce. The Employment Service acts as a reliable partner in this process, supporting both employers and job seekers at every stage — from consultations to actual employment.
