On January 1, Ukraine launched a state program to support working parents called "єЯсла" (yeYasla). It provides monthly targeted financial assistance to families with children aged 1 to 3 to compensate for childcare costs.
This was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The assistance is provided monthly to the mother or other legal representative who actually cared for the child and returned to work on a full-time basis.
The amount of state assistance is:
🔹 8,000 hryvnia per month — for families in which the mother or other legal representative returns to work after the child reaches one year of age;
🔹 12,000 hryvnia per month — for families raising a child with a disability (taking into account a coefficient of 1.5).
The assistance is targeted and can only be used to pay for childcare services, in particular:
🔹 services of private preschool education institutions;
🔹 services provided by individuals — entrepreneurs and legal entities that officially provide childcare services;
🔹 paid services in municipal and state preschool education institutions in accordance with current legislation (meals, clubs, remedial classes, after-school groups, etc.).
To apply for assistance, you need to contact your nearest Pension Fund of Ukraine service center.
The goal of the "єЯсла" program is to support families with young children, give parents the opportunity to return to work, and provide children with high-quality care in a convenient and safe environment for the family.
