An event titled “Thank You, Mom” was held for mothers, wives of servicemen, and female veterans from communities across Donetsk Oblast, organized by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The focus was on women who are waiting for their loved ones to return from the front lines, supporting them and helping them endure the hardest moments of the war. It was to them that words of gratitude and support were dedicated on the eve of Mother’s Day.
Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, addressed the participants, thanking the mothers and wives of the defenders for their strength, resilience, and constant support of their loved ones.
Particularly touching were the video messages from servicemen at the front, who congratulated their mothers on the holiday and thanked them for their love, faith, and support.
A concert program was prepared for the guests, including performances by bandura players and other artistic acts. The atmosphere of the event gave the women an opportunity, if only briefly, to take their minds off their worries and feel the care and support of people who understand what they are going through.
The participants shared their emotions and thanked the organizers for their attention and warm welcome.
The “Thank You, Mom” event was yet another gesture of respect for the women who help keep their families and the entire country going every day.
