On June 25 and 26, the Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History organized an interactive educational event called “Donetsk Region, You Are in My Heart” at the Perlyna Donetsk Region Regional Children's and Youth Health Resort, where children from various communities in our region are vacationing.
Over the course of two days, museum staff introduced the children to the symbols of Donetsk region — the coat of arms, flag, stele, and other iconic objects that represent the region. After the educational part, a creative workshop awaited the participants: the children had the opportunity to recreate one of the symbols themselves using a 3D pen.
The young participants enthusiastically created elements of the region's visual identity, demonstrating a genuine interest in the history, culture, and modernity of their native land.
Today, in times of full-scale war, Donetsk region is not just a part of the geographical map, but a symbol of courage, resilience, and resistance. It is a land where every piece speaks the language of love for Ukraine.
Memories of one's native land, its symbols and values are what unite, give strength, and form a sense of belonging. That is why it is so important to nurture this memory in the youngest — through knowledge, creativity, and lively interaction. Such events not only educate but also instill in children pride in their land, in their homeland.
