The Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) in Donetsk Oblast clarified physical identification rules for pensioners temporarily leaving Ukraine for short-term stays abroad (e.g., visiting family in Poland for a few months).
I live in the Prykarpattia region and plan to go to Poland to visit my daughter for a few months. Do I need to undergo physical identification?
Pursuant to Article 47-1 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mandatory State Pension Insurance" https://t1p.de/uwsor.
If a pensioner stays abroad for less than 183 days within a calendar year (January through December) and does not register for formal temporary/permanent residence status in the host country, physical identification is NOT required.
Short visits abroad (e.g., spending a few months with relatives) fall under this exemption, meaning pension payments will continue without requiring remote or physical verification during that timeframe.
