On May 7, a seminar was held with representatives of district and local military administrations to discuss the specifics of developing a development strategy for local communities in the Donetsk region.
Over 170 experts from the Donetsk region participated in the seminar.
The event also addressed the following issues:
- the digitization of employment services and new opportunities for job seekers;
- mechanisms for state support of business;
- the provision of medical rehabilitation services, including for war veterans;
- conflict management for public service needs;
- gender-based violence in wartime: new risks and challenges;
- the necessity of conducting a strategic environmental assessment (SEA) of state planning documents, the content of the SEA procedure, and the main provisions for implementing the Law of Ukraine “On Strategic Environmental Assessment”;
- documenting the damage caused to land resources as a result of land plots being contaminated with waste from destruction caused by armed aggression against Ukraine;
- establishing the facts of damage and losses caused to territories and objects of the nature reserve fund as a result of armed aggression by the Russian Federation.
The seminar was organized and conducted by the Department for Cooperation with Local Self-Government Bodies of the Regional State Administration, in collaboration with the Donetsk Regional Branch of the National Mediation and Reconciliation Service, the Donetsk Regional Employment Center, the State Environmental Inspection in Donetsk Region, the Donetsk Regional Center for Social Services, and relevant departments of the Regional State Administration.
