On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History held an online meeting for schools in the Donetsk region – a presentation of the information project "Chronology of the War."
The event was aimed at familiarizing young people with the key stages of Ukraine's resistance since February 20, 2014, explaining the meaning of the concepts of ATO/OOS, and forming a comprehensive understanding of the events of the current war, which has been going on for over 12 years.
During the event, Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, historian, journalist, and writer Olena Mokrenchuk presented the project "Chronology of War" and shared her own experience of participating in the events of recent history. Addressing the participants of the meeting, she emphasized: "This is the land of our ancestors – this is important, but above all, it is the land of our children."
After the presentation, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss what they had heard. Holding such meetings is especially important for the youth of Donetsk Oblast, as it promotes the establishment of accurate knowledge about the war for Ukraine's independence, understanding of its causes and consequences, and the formation of a responsible civic position.
