This was announced by the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
The center operates at health resort facilities in Zakarpattia region, specifically at the Karpaty and Soniachne Zakarpattia sanatoriums. Here, children who require special social attention and support will have the opportunity to rest, recover, and spend time in a safe environment.
The children will enjoy walks in the Carpathian Mountains, sports activities, swimming, creative workshops, art therapy sessions, meetings with psychologists, new friendships, and the simple joys of childhood that have become so scarce during the war.
The “Pearl of Donetsk Region” center is also hosting the “Carpathian Session” project, launched on the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Office of the President of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Association of Football.
More than 2,000 children from Donetsk region are expected to take part in wellness and recreation programs at the center throughout the summer. The next session will begin on July 10.
