Plogging is a sport that combines activity, drive and care for the environment. It was this sport that united the participants of the regional remote plogging marathon "Plogging is the trend of the future" organized by the Donetsk Youth Palace "Yunist" as part of the World Cleanup Day celebration.
The marathon brought together more than 100 participants from more than 30 educational institutions of different communities in Donetsk Oblast. The wide geography of the participants clearly shows that love of sport and respect for nature can unite people from different communities.
The age of the participants is becoming more and more diverse: from first-graders to university students. They are accompanied by teachers and mentors who not only support and motivate them, but also show by their own example that a healthy lifestyle and responsibility for the environment is a choice of a modern person.
The Plogging Marathon demonstrated that the movement for health can also be a step towards a cleaner planet. Running combined with garbage collection turned into an exciting eco-challenge where each participant became a small hero of change.
Plogging in Ukraine is a trend of the future and an important choice of the present!
