As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” and with the aim of expanding partnerships, establishing cooperation, and exchanging experiences with domestic and international municipalities, Andriy Bondarenko, head of the Dobropil City Military Administration, visited the Stryi community.

The visit provided another opportunity to strengthen the partnership, exchange experiences, and agree on specific joint steps within the framework of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”

Together with community representatives and partners—Yevhen Udovenko, head of the Avdiivka Municipal Military Administration; Oleg Kanivets, mayor of Stryi; Ruslan Ilnytskyi, mayor of Morshyn; Bohdan Yanko, head of the Stryi District State Administration; Petro Vasylkiv, village head of Hrabovets-Dulibiv; and Riko Tell, mayor of Tapa (Estonia)—they discussed what is particularly important today:

🔹 support for the civilian population and the integration of evacuees;

🔹 joint cultural and social initiatives;

🔹 mutual support and community resilience during wartime;

🔹 new opportunities for developing partnerships between communities.

Cooperation with Estonia is an important area of international focus. During a meeting with Riho Tell, the mayor of the Estonian city of Tapa, we discussed the further development of our international partnership. And we’ve already seen the first results—an agreement has been reached to provide a health retreat in Estonia for a group of children from the Dobropil community.

Strong communities mean a strong Ukraine. And a partnership forged through shared challenges becomes the foundation for recovery and development.
