On February 19, Ukraine celebrates State Emblem Day.
The trident is a thousand-year-old symbol of our freedom, resilience, generational continuity, and Ukrainian identity. It has accompanied Ukrainians through times of prosperity and hardship and remains a symbol of strength, unity, and faith today.
The Donetsk Regional Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity invites residents of Donetsk Oblast — both adults and children — to participate in the regional photo exhibition "Trident: Code of the Nation," which will run until February 19.
Let's show everyone how this ancient national symbol lives among us: in architecture and art, on military insignia and flags, in embroidery, drawings, and, most importantly, in the heart of every Ukrainian.
To participate, please send:
- original photographs depicting the trident, from historical monuments to contemporary art objects. Or maybe a trident on an old wall, embroidered on a shirt, depicted in a mural, or proudly raised above a liberated city;
- high-quality photos of thematic drawings where the trident is the central element (any technique: pencils, paints, graphics, appliqué, etc.).
If you wish, add a short story about the photo or a few words about what this symbol means to you.
Post your work on the "Extracurricular Activities of Donetsk Region" page on Facebook and be sure to add the hashtags:
