




Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Ihor Boyko participated in a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for conducting evacuation measures and effective response to mass population displacement, chaired by the Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine - Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba.
During the meeting, the attendees heard reports from regional military administrations regarding the security situation in the regions and the necessity of evacuating the population, as well as discussed plans for the further activities of the Coordination Headquarters for conducting evacuation measures and effective response to mass population displacement. Special attention was paid to the issue of meeting the needs for protective equipment for children (bulletproof vests and helmets). Problematic issues arising during the evacuation process and ways to resolve them were discussed.
Ihor Boyko reported that currently, mandatory evacuation is ongoing for children with their parents, guardians, or other legal representatives from six settlements in the Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts, where 25 children remain.
Since the start of mandatory evacuation measures from the settlements of the Donetsk region, a total of 14,897 children have been evacuated. All children have been evacuated from 295 designated settlements in the region.
Evacuation has been carried out to the Zakarpattia, Volyn, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Ternopil regions.
“The search for temporary accommodation is carried out in close cooperation between the Donetsk Regional State Administration and the receiving regional state administrations, as well as the NGO 'Coordination Humanitarian Center'. The evacuation and accommodation of single low-mobility individuals is carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the National Social Service of Ukraine, the Charity Organization 'Eastern SOS Fund', and the NGO 'Proliska'. The evacuation and accommodation of families with children is carried out in cooperation with the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, the Charity Organization 'Save Ukraine Fund', the Charity Organization 'Eastern SOS Fund', and the NGO 'Proliska'. A transit point has been established in the city of Pavlohrad for conducting evacuations. On average, 150 to 200 people use the services of the transit point daily," - reported Ihor Boyko.
During the meeting, problematic issues related to the evacuation of the civilian population were also considered, and appropriate instructions were given for their resolution.
