Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Ihor Boiko took part in an online extended meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for evacuation measures and effective response to mass population displacement. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.
During the meeting, a number of important issues were discussed, in particular the security situation in the Donetsk region and the need for further evacuation of the population from the frontline territories. Particular attention was paid to the activities of transit centers, the availability of relevant regulatory documents, and the organization of multidisciplinary teams at transit centers. Problematic issues related to the forced evacuation of families with children were also discussed.
During his speech, Ihor Boiko informed the meeting participants about the work of the transit evacuation points established by the Donetsk Regional State Administration in cooperation with the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv Regional State Administrations, which operate in the cities of Pavlohrad and Lozova.
In particular, the transit points provide financial assistance from international organizations in the amount of 10,800 hryvnia per person, humanitarian, psychological, and medical assistance, transportation of evacuees to their new place of residence, preparation of necessary documents, and hot meals.
