On October 28, representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration took part in the 21st meeting of the “Heroes’ Policy and Support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine” Commission of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine. The meeting was chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
The participants focused on issues related to supporting the families of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine, improving the regulatory and legal framework for relevant areas of state policy, and preserving national memory.
In particular, the meeting addressed the provision of financial assistance to family members of fallen soldiers, the status of drafting, coordinating, and adopting regulatory and legal acts, as well as the mapping of significant memorial projects in the regions and the status of their implementation.
Special attention was given to commemorating the Defenders of Ukraine and implementing memorial initiatives in each region.
