Two years ago, on the initiative of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the project "The Power of Donetsk Region Traditions" was launched to promote the region's sporting achievements and Ukrainian national traditions.
In 2024, the first "Heritage of the Nation" festival was held in Kyiv, and in 2025, it was held at the Donetsk Regional Sports College named after S. Bubka.
As part of this initiative, a physical culture and health event called "The Strength of Spirit is the Strength of the Nation" was held on the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of Kruty with the participation of students from Educational Complex No. 1 of the Pokrovsk community.
A minute of silence, the national anthem, a conversation about the strength of spirit, discipline, and the significance of Ukraine's national symbols. After the official part, there were sports activities, including dance exercises that are the hallmark of Ukrainian national choreography, and hopak within the framework of OlympicLab.
