Losing a job is never easy. During such times, it is important to have not only the motivation to move forward but also real support. That is why the state provides unemployment benefits — as financial assistance for those currently seeking work.
This support helps stabilize one’s situation and focus on what matters most: finding a new job, improving qualifications, or even changing careers. Sometimes, this period becomes an opportunity to try something new and discover a different professional path.
At the same time, it is important to understand the key conditions for receiving this benefit, including the duration of payments.
What is the duration of unemployment benefits?
Unemployment benefits are granted starting from the first day after a person is officially granted unemployed status.
During martial law, the duration of payments does not exceed 90 calendar days. However, this does not apply to individuals of pre-retirement age (within one year of retirement), for whom the duration may be extended up to 360 days.
