From July 30 to 31, Mykolaiv hosted an Interregional Forum on the Status and Prospects of Veterans’ Policy Implementation, attended by representatives of the Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs of Ukraine, regional departments responsible for veterans’ policy from various regions, civil society organizations, veterans’ community centers, as well as veterans and their family members.

The forum’s goal was to create an effective, dignified, and modern system for the reintegration of male and female veterans.

Today, veterans’ policy is not just about social security. It is a comprehensive support system that must be aimed at the successful reintegration of male and female veterans, creating opportunities for their self-sufficiency, professional development, and active participation in the recovery and development of Ukraine.

Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Department of Veterans’ Policy at the Regional State Administration, shared the Donetsk region’s experience in developing and implementing veterans’ policy under martial law and during relocation.

Such events facilitate the exchange of best practices between regions, the development of common approaches to implementing national veteran policy, and the adoption of effective solutions aimed at supporting Ukraine’s defenders and their families.

We would also like to note that the “Defenders of Donetsk Region” chatbot on Telegram (t.me/ZakhysnykyDonechchyny_bot) is available to provide information and assistance to veterans and their families.

Consultation hotline: 095 555 31 15 (Department of Veterans’ Affairs of the Donetsk Regional State Administration).
