Despite the forced relocation and separation from their native home, the residents of the Bakhmut Psychoneurological Boarding School in Poltava region do not lose their zest for life. They actively integrate into the local community, find solace in new landscapes, and participate in cultural events that warm the soul.
Life far from their native Donetsk, where every street breathes memories, requires considerable strength of spirit. However, thanks to the strong support and sincere warmth of the hearts surrounding the residents of the boarding school, they continue to feel like part of a large and caring community.
Recently, a charity concert of amateur groups from the Velykobudyshchanska community took place in the neighboring village of Plishyvets. The event was dedicated to the 400th anniversary of Marusya Churai and was titled "Marusya Churai – this is the voice, this is the song, this is the soul of our singing Ukraine." All funds raised during the concert were donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The event became an important occasion attended by a professor from Poltava Pedagogical University and the leadership of the Department of Culture of the Poltava Regional State Administration. The residents of the boarding school were extremely pleased with the performances and the exhibition of Ukrainian embroidery, which showcased the beauty of national traditions.
After the concert, a special excursion was organized for the residents to the only Nine-Domed Church in Ukraine, also located in the village of Plishyvets. This became a true moment of unity and spirituality. Here, everyone could pray for peace in Ukraine, taste the water from the consecrated well, and enjoy the wonderful views of Poltava region that bring tranquility and inspiration.
The extraordinary strength of spirit and unyielding desire for a full life, despite all the terrible trials that fate has dealt to these people, evoke genuine admiration. Their incredible resilience and inexhaustible optimism are a true example of courage and unwavering faith for each of us.
We sincerely hope that soon our residents will be able to return to their native homes, where the longed-for peace, harmony, and peaceful sky over free Ukrainian land will reign again. Each in their place brings closer this dreamed victory, and such important moments of unity and mutual support are extremely valuable on this difficult path.
Everything will be Ukraine!
