At the end of last week, two children were placed in the newly created family-type orphanage of the Avdiivka community.
The boys from another community in Pokrovsk district were brought up for more than a year in the family of a foster caregiver from Avdiivka. All this time, while the children were in the foster family, measures were taken to protect the rights and interests of the children: collection of documents, court hearings to deprive the mother of parental rights, and granting status.
Thanks to the work of the foster caregiver, assistant foster caregiver, and the cooperation of the Children's Service of the Avdiivka City Military Administration with the Children's Service of the Pokrovsk City Council, the Service for Children, Family, Youth and Sports of the Executive Committee of the Zolotonosha City Council of Cherkasy Oblast, the children finally found their family, and the family found its children.
This proves once again that even in difficult times of war, child protection issues can and should be addressed, even when child services are located at a great distance from each other, but all the difficulties that each of us has gone through are nothing compared to the fact that our little citizens have found their loving families.
