This was reported by the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration.
They were the only representatives of Ukraine and brought victory to our country in the team standings among 33 national teams and over 650 participants!
17-year-old Artem Oliinyk won 11 medals, including gold in the overall standings in the following events: 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke, 100m breaststroke, 200m freestyle, and 200m individual medley, as well as 6 more victories in the S-5 and SM-5 classes.
Veronika Korzhova earned 8 medals, claiming victories in the 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley in two different classes, and gold in the S-7 class for the 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke events.
Both athletes are only 17 years old. They are students of the Donetsk Regional Youth Sports School for Athletes with Disabilities and represent the Soledar community. Veronika is also a scholarship recipient of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
