Evacuation from a frontline city is always about cooperation and precise coordination

Evacuation from a frontline city always involves cooperation and precise coordination. It often takes place in two stages. These photos show the evacuation mission of the White Angel special police unit. They picked up people from the dangerous Konstantinovka in an armored vehicle and brought them to the point of docking - this is the first stage.

Then the crew of the Vostok SOS team picked up the evacuees and took them to the transit point in Pavlohrad, which has already received more than 25 thousand people since the beginning of its work. There, the foundation's specialists were waiting for the rescued: psychologists, lawyers, case managers and logisticians.

This is not the first time that photographer Diego Herera has joined the mission of the Vostok SOS team. This time he went to Kostyantynivka, which is being literally razed to the ground by the occupiers.

"Despite the constant attacks of Russian troops, the city continues to resist. Firefighters are extinguishing fires in various residential buildings. Evacuation crews save people every day. The constant presence of drones over the city makes it extremely dangerous to move around the streets," says Diego.

We urge you to take care of your own safety and the safety of your children and evacuate.

The Vostok SOS charitable foundation helps people with limited mobility, including families with children, lonely people, people with disabilities and the elderly, and pet owners, to escape from danger free of charge. The team accompanies the victims in finding temporary accommodation, places lonely people in institutions with constant supervision or helps them reach their loved ones.
