“The session with the psychologist was very enlightening. There are some things I’ll put into practice in my life,” says Karina, who evacuated from Kramatorsk with her mother and daughter.
This family is among those who arrived in the Rivne region on the 17th evacuation train from Donetsk Oblast since the beginning of the year and received assistance at the stabilization center run by the NGO “Integration Center.”
The center’s team provides evacuees with comprehensive assistance, essential social services, and support in ensuring their right to decent living conditions. Psychological support helps them cope with their experiences and gradually rebuild their inner strength.
People who have lived under shelling for a long time often arrive exhausted and focused on the most important thing—staying alive. Therefore, it is important that after evacuation, they have time to recover and regain the ability to plan and determine their own future.
The project “Supporting the Integration of Vulnerable Groups of Recently Arrived Internally Displaced Persons to Prevent Secondary Displacement” is implemented by the NGO “Integration Center” in partnership with the Rivne Regional State Administration, with financial support from the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (UHF).
