Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, held a working meeting with Kateryna Levchenko, Ukraine’s Government Commissioner for Gender Policy. They discussed the implementation of gender equality policies in the region and, in particular, the implementation of the National Action Plan to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1325, “Women, Peace, and Security,” for the period up to 2030.
This work is particularly important for the Donetsk region. Today, our women are among those who defend the country, work in communities, help people, support families, and hold the home front.
Therefore, our task as the authorities is to carry out the specified measures and to create conditions so that women have a real influence on decisions concerning the region’s security, recovery, and future.
Details of the meeting are in the video.
