In 2017, in Mariupol, IDPs and students united to develop youth and civil society. This is how Zahody, an organization that grew from small initiatives to large-scale projects, was born.
Zahody has experienced relocation twice, but each time it has turned challenges into opportunities. Today, Zahody is an all-Ukrainian organization that supports young people in different regions: it helps to implement ideas, creates opportunities for development, and builds youth communities.
Over the past year alone, as part of the UNICEF program "Strengthening the Implementation of Youth Policy in Kryvyi Rih, Communities of Dnipro and Donetsk Regions", the NGO has achieved impressive results:
- 52,000 young people from the two regions became part of the initiatives of the NGO "Zahody".
- 100 mini-grants were awarded to young people to implement their ideas.
- 51 communities in Donetsk and Dnipro regions joined the program.
- 800 change agents are ready to create a new future for their regions.
