Every day, hundreds of people call the hotline of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center. For some, the call is about very specific questions: how to register as unemployed, where to find vacancies, or which training programs and grants are available. But often, the conversations go far beyond dry consultations.
We remember the call from a displaced woman who couldn’t find a job on her own after relocating. It was difficult for her to start over, but a conversation with our specialist helped her see opportunities she hadn’t noticed before. Or the inquiry from a veteran who hesitated about enrolling in training with a voucher — doubts always accompany a new stage in life. A few warm words and a clear explanation of the steps gave him the courage to take that step.
Since the beginning of 2025, we have already provided more than 2,700 consultations. And behind each number, there’s a human story. Sometimes just a few minutes of conversation become the very push a person needs to move forward and believe they are not alone.
