The Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Donetsk Oblast reported on its activities

A meeting of the board of the Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Donetsk Oblast was held, during which issues related to activities in 2025 and plans for 2026 were discussed. The meeting was attended by Ihor Boiko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration; heads of the Main Directorate’s structural units; heads of the region’s state veterinary medicine institutions; representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Laboratory of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection; and invited guests.

Vladimir Kirilyuk, Acting Head of the Main Directorate of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, addressed the participants with an opening statement. He outlined the key challenges and priorities for the service’s work under martial law.

In particular, they discussed the organization and implementation of anti-epizootic measures in combat zones, as well as the status of the plan for the prevention of infectious and parasitic animal diseases in the Donetsk region in 2025. Special attention was paid to the results of activities aimed at ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population in 2025.

The meeting also addressed issues related to consumer protection, advertising, compliance with anti-smoking legislation, control over regulated prices, as well as market and metrological supervision.

During the discussions, Ihor Boiko emphasized the importance of ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the service under martial law, coordinating the actions of all responsible agencies, and strengthening oversight in areas that directly affect public safety.

Following the meeting, priority areas for further work were identified, and relevant instructions were issued.
