The Mykolaiv settlement community in Donetsk Oblast, in cooperation with the Chyhyryn urban community in Cherkasy Oblast, joined the online meeting "Shevchenko – Prophet and Father of the Nation."
The event was held as part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities" initiated by the Chyhyryn community, which brought together the communities of Ukraine around the Great Kobzar: Mykilska, Kalchitska, Sartanska, Mangushska in Donetsk region, Korsun-Shevchenkivska, Kamyanska, Chyhyrynska in Cherkasy region, Dobroslavska community in Odesa region, and Kotsyubynska community in Kyiv region.
During the event, the communities familiarized themselves with the interactive map "Shevchenko in My Region" — a unique visualization that demonstrated the connection between different regions of Ukraine and the life, work, and ideological heritage of the Kobzar, which was created with the participation of all event participants.
The video installation "Shevchenko is Us" deserves special attention, in which young people shared their own vision of the poet's significance for the current generation.
The organizers announced the results of a thematic quiz dedicated to the life and work of Taras Shevchenko and named the top 10 participants in the intellectual competition. Among them, first place went to Artur Tymchak from Nikolskaya Secondary School No. 1.
