From February 25 to March 1, a series of national kettlebell lifting tournaments took place in Kyiv: the Ukrainian Adult and Youth Championships, the Ukrainian Veterans of Physical Culture and Sports Championships, and the All-Ukrainian Amateur Competitions.
About 300 athletes from 20 regions of Ukraine took part in the tournaments. Athletes of different age categories competed in the following disciplines: long cycle jerk, long cycle relay, classic cycle jerk, and exercise R-12 – jerk with any number of hand changes.
The Donetsk region was represented at the competition by 11 athletes from the Volnovakha, Mariupol, Ocheretine, and Pokrovsk communities.
According to the results of the individual competition among men, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine Leon Bilitsky won his next championship.
In the all-Ukrainian competitions among men in group "B," the kettlebell lifters from Donetsk region showed the following results: Yevgen Neskreba and Serhiy Parfeniuk – 1st place, Mykhailo Budyka – 3rd place, Roman Tanasychuk – 4th place.
In the individual standings of the Ukrainian Veterans Championship in the absolute weight category among women, Iryna Kulikova took first place and Olena Neskreba took third place.
Among male veterans, Yevgen Neskreba took two first places, Leonid Garazha and Vladimir Kiselev took two second places each, Sergey Dolina took second place, and Sergey Parfenyuk took third place.
In the long cycle team relay, athletes from Donetsk Oblast Yevgen Neskreba, Serhiy Parfeniuk, Yaroslav Yaroslavskyi, and Leonid Garazha won silver.
Based on the results of all events in the program, athletes from Donetsk Oblast took first place in the overall standings among veterans.
