In August, the Donetsk Youth Palace "Yunost" held the second shift of the interactive online camp "ART Space". About 1500 children aged 6 to 12 joined the program, which allowed them to combine leisure, creativity and learning.
Every morning, the participants were treated to fun exercises, children's yoga, choreography and vocal battles. The creative atmosphere was complemented by theater games, mini-concerts, arts and crafts workshops, interactive games, quizzes and quests. Sports tasks motivated the children to be active and work together as a team.
National and patriotic education activities became an important area. The children joined classes dedicated to the National Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine, studied the symbols of our country and shared their own creative works.
A separate event was held to commemorate the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country. Participants honored the memory of the Heroes with a minute of silence, talked about the courage of Ukrainian soldiers and the importance of their feat for the country's future, and made a sunflower symbol of this day.
Psychological support was also an important part of the program: a specialist worked with the children in an interactive format and provided parents with advice on how to support their children's emotional state.
The format of the camp remained flexible: offline classes were held in Kyiv, while children from other regions joined online. This allowed us to unite participants from different parts of the country and create a space of unity, friendship, and support.
"ART-space" became a territory of joy, creative discoveries and national pride. Over two shifts in the summer, it brought together more than 3,500 children, giving them new knowledge, friends and a sense of belonging to a large Ukrainian community.
