In June-August 2025, the Open Video Contest "One Day in the Life of a Ukrainian Hero" was held as part of open competitions in veteran policy.
The contest was organized by the Zaporizhzhia Regional Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Student Youth "Hrani".
More than 50 talented children from different regions of Ukraine - Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad and Donetsk regions - took part in the creative competition.
The pupils of the "Faces of Nature" club of the Donetsk Regional Ecology and Nature Center received a first-degree Diploma in this competition with their video "Interview with a Hero."
The hero of their project was Oleksandr Parashchenko, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and now the director of the DOENC. The hero's sincere answers revealed the themes of courage, patriotism, and strength of spirit of the defender, who continues to educate the younger generation today.
The victory of the young Donetsk residents proved that children can talk about the most important thing - the courage and strength of spirit of our defenders - through their art. Such initiatives help foster respect for the Heroes of Ukraine and inspire young people to new achievements.
