The government is stepping up support for agricultural producers in the frontline regions. At a meeting on August 13, the Cabinet of Ministers approved amendments that expand financial assistance to agricultural producers in the areas of possible and active hostilities where state electronic information resources are available.
"The government's decision optimizes two tools to support farmers in the frontline regions. We are increasing the share of state funding in grants for investments in orchards and greenhouses and expanding subsidies per hectare for areas with perennial plantations for current production. These new steps will help to save jobs, retain and increase the area under crops, and ensure a stable volume of agricultural production," said Oleksiy Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
📌 Grants for the creation and development of horticulture, berry growing, viticulture and greenhouse farming.
The program of grants for the creation and development of horticulture, berry growing, viticulture and greenhouse farming introduced a single limit for compensation for the cost of planting - up to UAH 400 thousand per hectare for all crops and abolished the differentiation of grant amounts depending on the crop.
New co-financing conditions have been established:
- up to 80% of the cost of a planting project/construction of a modular greenhouse - for entities that are registered and operate in the territories of possible or active hostilities (including active hostilities where state electronic information resources are functioning and for which the completion date has not been determined), or own/use land plots, 80% or more of which are located in the occupied territories;
- up to 50% of the cost of a planting project/construction of a modular greenhouse for all other grants.
Recipients cover the remaining costs (at least 20% or 50%, respectively) with their own or credit funds.
📌 Subsidies per hectare
The budget support for the area under perennial plantations has been expanded: a subsidy of UAH 1000 per 1 hectare has been established for the territories of possible hostilities, active hostilities, where state electronic information resources are functioning.
