Thanks to the support of international and civil society organizations and associations, humanitarian hubs and centers located in safer regions of Ukraine continue to provide a wide range of humanitarian aid to internally displaced persons.
Currently, there are 106 locations operating in 19 regions of Ukraine, serving more than 263,200 residents of Donetsk Oblast (including 50,300 children).
Since the beginning of this year, residents of Donetsk Oblast have received the following assistance:
- 226,600 food packages;
- 31,200 units of non-food items: hygiene kits, household cleaning supplies, sets of clothing and shoes, sets of tableware, bedding, blankets, mattresses, space heaters, power banks, salt lamps, and stationery sets;
- 71,200 units of medical and other supplies: diapers for children and adults, medications, vitamins, adult diapers, incontinence pads, personal hygiene kits, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, strollers, high chairs, playpens, toys, etc.
In addition to humanitarian aid, evacuees from the Donetsk region have received a wide range of services since the beginning of the year:
- 6,000 consultations on social issues, pension matters, and employment;
- 15,000 consultations on legal issues and the provision of legal aid;
- 16,100 consultations on medical care, treatment, and examinations;
- 3,900 consultations on mental health;
- 14,000 consultations (meetings, events, trainings, webinars) on psychological support and adaptation for children and youth.
The following were conducted:
- 10,000 educational, training, and motivational events;
- 21,000 cultural and entertainment events;
- 5,000 sports events.
The work of humanitarian hubs and centers is a lifeline for many people who, due to the war, find themselves in difficult circumstances and are forced to integrate into a new environment.
