Kickboxers of Donetsk region won 8 medals at the World Cup in Hungary

The WAKO World Kickboxing Cup in the Hungarian capital Budapest brought together about 4,000 participants from 52 countries, including 6 athletes from Donetsk Oblast as part of the Ukrainian national team.

The pupils of the Regional children and youth kickboxing school and the Children and youth sports school of Kurakhove city council won 2 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.

Oleksandra Pipa won in the full-contact section.

Lev Siryi obtained gold in kick-light and silver in light-contact.

Vladyslav Sviechkar became a silver medalist in the full-contact section.

Valeriia Heniuta won silver in the light-contact section.

Roman Sapegin was a silver medalist in light-contact and a bronze medalist in kick-light.

Alyona Kratko took 3rd place in the full-contact section.

The athletes have trained by coaches Vitaliy Li from Toretsk, Artem Driga and Danylo Prolomov from Kurakhove, and Valeriy Berezhnyi from Bilozerske.

The next international test for kickboxers from Donetsk Oblast will be the European Youth and Junior Championships scheduled to take place in Italy in September.
