Vivid images, boundless imagination, and a touch of magic: this is how the World of Doubles cosplay festival, dedicated to World Cosplay Day, unfolded. The event was organized by the Donetsk Youth Palace Yunist, which brought together the most creative students in the Donetsk region.
This year, the festival turned into a real parade of transformations: 25 educational institutions from 15 communities in the region, from Sloviansk to Volnovakha, took part in it. Almost a hundred incredible works were submitted to the competition, and each one is a separate story, created with love for the chosen character and attention to detail.
The participants amazed the audience with their incredible costumes, makeup, and acting. Some brought characters from cult films and cartoons to life, some transformed into anime characters, and some chose Ukrainian motifs, proving that cosplay can be not only entertainment but also a form of cultural self-expression.
The final intrigue of the cosplay was decided not by the jury, but by the audience: more than 1,500 people took part in the voting, and it was they who determined the winners. Interestingly, this time nine participants received the same number of votes, sharing the first place!
The winners of the audience's sympathy were:
- Veronika Petrenko, Bakhmut Secondary School No. 18 named after Dmitry Chernyavsky (head teacher I.V. Ivashchenko);
- Alina Zharkikh, Kramatorsk Higher Vocational School (supervisor V.V. Gumenna);
- Daria Oliinyk, Bilitska Secondary School No. 10 of the Dobropillia City Council (supervisor O.V. Zhuravleva);
- Milena Garshina, Donetsk Vocational College of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University (supervisor V.O. Grobovod);
- Oleksiy Makedonsky, Paraskoviivska Special School No. 40 (supervisor L.A. Pop);
- Veronika Bidzyura, Velykonovosilkovsky Secondary School No. 2 (head V.V. Kovalenko);
- Viktoria Kovalova, Druzhkivka Housing and Utilities College of Don NABA (supervisor T.V. Orlova);

- Milena Berbenko, Oleksandrivka Secondary School I-III (supervisor D.V. Goncharova).
There was no room for dullness at this festival – only colors, imagination, and vivid emotions. The youth of Donetsk region once again demonstrated their ability to create, play, and dream. Cosplay has become a way for them to speak to the world in the language of beauty, courage, and light. Because as long as young people are able to transform themselves into heroes, they are also able to create a new, beautiful reality. And this is no longer just cosplay, it is the art of living brightly.
