In the frontline city of Kramatorsk, every open café, every business that continues to operate, and every new job created means more than just economic activity. It represents faith in the future, resilience, and a deep love for the city.
These were the key themes of a meeting between Svitlana Bondarieva, Head of the Kramatorsk Branch of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center, and entrepreneur Nataliia Savelieva, who has been running her mobile catering business for more than ten years.
It was through a consultation with Employment Service specialists that Nataliia first learned about the government's Own Business grant program. She prepared a business plan, received a grant, and used the funding to purchase new equipment, expand her product range, and create additional jobs.
Most importantly, the partnership continues today.
Nataliia currently participates in the government's compensation program for employers who hire people displaced by the war. She has also received compensation for adapting a workplace for an employee with a disability.
This kind of partnership helps entrepreneurs continue growing even under the most difficult circumstances, create jobs, and support the local economy.
Despite the challenges of living and working in a frontline city, Nataliia's café continues to welcome customers with freshly brewed coffee and homemade pastries. It is another reminder that life goes on where people have the courage to work, build, and move forward.
The Donetsk Regional Employment Service continues to support employers by helping them access development opportunities while assisting job seekers in finding employment.
