According to Diia.Business, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with the support of Switzerland and the United States, provides financial support to businesses that have moved or plan to relocate to safe regions of Ukraine under the EBRD Small Business Assistance Fund.
The program covers costs that have not been reimbursed from other sources, including
- transportation of equipment, raw materials and finished goods;
- purchase, setup, repair, packaging, dismantling and rental of equipment
- use of premises, including one month of rent;
- engineering or repair and construction works in warehouses and production facilities.
Companies that meet the following criteria are eligible to participate in the program:
- the activity started before February 24, 2022 and lasts for at least two years (interruption due to war is allowed);
- own production facilities;
- more than 50% of the company is owned by Ukrainian citizens;
- the staff in 2024 numbered from 10 to 500 employees (including all related companies and individual entrepreneurs);
- annual turnover of up to EUR 50 million or total assets of up to EUR 43 million (including all related companies and individual entrepreneurs);
- did not receive compensation for relevant expenses from other organizations (expenses must be documented);
- relocation from one region to another has been carried out or is planned;
- the company has not previously applied for grant assistance in relocation from the EBRD.
The amount of financial support is up to EUR 30,000.
