



Representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, in particular, Natalia Chukova, Head of the Department for Interaction with Local Self-Government Bodies of the Regional State Administration, joined the conference “(De)occupied and frontline communities on the way to recovery: institutional solutions”, which took place in Kyiv on May 21, 2025.
The event was organized within the framework of the Global Open Government Week in partnership with the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning.
The Conference discussed scenarios and conditions for the institutional restoration of the frontline and de-occupied territories of Ukraine with a focus on four areas: public administration, human resources, administrative and territorial structure, and public participation.
The discussion of institutional solutions for recovery in the (de)occupied and frontline communities was also attended by members of the Ukrainian Parliament, representatives of central-level government agencies, diplomatic missions of partner countries, international technical assistance projects, military administrations, local governments, local government associations, as well as academics, experts, public figures, journalists, and other stakeholders.
